Over 200 supporters for Laika Day!

Dear All

Thank you so much for having taken the time to support the petition for "Laika Day," a day when we remember all the animals that have suffered or died in the cause of research. 

The petition has now accumulated over 200 signatures, of which yours is one. I am continuing to promote the petition on YouTube and TikTok, via various WhatsApp groups I am part of, and through approaching academic researchers who work on animal rights.

The response has been tremendous and I am moved that others feel similarly to the way I do, about Laika, and the need to think carefully about other animals we share the world with. Please do not hesitate to share the petition with others who you think might feel the same way.

They are the first higher living organisms to survive a trip to outer space."
