Dear wonderful supporters,
Today I kicked off a small initiative to support parents on this journey through the Facebook platform. Although FB has many drawbacks, particularly for children, it’s an excellent medium to support others and bring people together to achieve more.
Here’s some more info on my support group- we can all do more.
A Childhood Again Til Yr 10

Who? How? Why?
Who?
We are a group of loving parents and caring community members who believe that our young Australians deserve a ‘real childhood’ again by delaying smartphones and social media just til yr 10.
How?
Simply by supporting other parents and saying no. It’s perfectly fine to give your child a phone when ready, that does not have social media or internet connection.
When you as the parent is ready, children can have a phone that can text, call, take photos, games etc. for planned use, with boundaries that suit your parental style.
The phone can be used as a SAFE, EDUCATIONAL, FUN, COMMUNICATION TOOL. A phone can also be a reward to use, not a ‘right’.
My goal is for our members to share uplifting, positive posts, contributed to by all members to inspire others how they are living their lives, with their children, WITHOUT smart phones and social media.
Inspire us! The world needs more of you!
Why?
We must always turn to our natural world for answers. When we reconnect with nature, everything falls into place.
I like to think of the sun and the moon when I think of polarity or difference.
A childhood and smartphones is like the sun and moon coming together. The natural world would never want this to happen.
What has happened to children in our world is so far removed from what mother nature would have wanted. A childhood with smartphones upsets and disrupts the normal, rhythmic patterns of the natural world in which they live.
Young children have become commercialised, sexualised, victimised and stymied in their natural pattern of human development.
We know that smartphones and social media are responsible for a world-wide epidemic of youth mental health issues directly linked to increase in suicide, anxiety, self-harm, bullying, victimisation, sexualisation and more. That is not a childhood.
There’s no more time for talk.
There’s only time for action.
Love Anita xx
