While we are pleased to be involved it must be noted we had no response from Mott MacDonald to questions we raised from the 1st meeting back in November 2023.

As you can see from the presentation four options were considered with option 1 proposed as the best solution: “a shared use path alongside the northern side of the carriageway” (which was the agreed solution back in 2006).

Following Swansea Local Authority accepting the feasibility study, successful funding will be required to progress this project. A topographical survey will have to be completed, and external land negotiators will be employed to liaise with landowners. This process has been given a loose timeline of 2024/25 financial year. Following this project funding will be required so that the installation of the project can take place in 2025/26 financial year.  

Whilst enthusiasm to improve the ‘missing link’ is very evident from LA and stakeholders we must remind everyone this was a similar picture back in 2006 however the project stalled. We will continue to campaign until this project has been completed. We thank you for you continuing support and please share to help us gain more supporters to our campaign.
