We received the following update from Swansea Council Active Travel Team regards to our campaign this week:

"We’re also pleased to confirm that ATF ‘Core Allocation’ funding has been awarded to develop proposals for a link between Penclawdd and Gowerton in 2023-24. Being able to reference the public support for this link was certainly helpful as part of the submission of the bid for this scheme and we look forward to engaging with residents and other stakeholders on this over the coming year." 

Additionally we met with Penclawdd councillor Andrew Williams today who confirmed the welcome update from Swansea Council and was supportive to seeing this completed. 

This is encouraging news where we hope the next 12 months will see plans and funding in place to finish the missing link from Penclawdd to Gowerton. We will continue to campaign until this project is completed and are grateful for the support to date. Diolch.
