A Call for ETS Support: At least 50% Fee Reduction for Iranian applicants
The Issue
We, as Iranian applicants for international educational exams, respectfully request the esteemed ETS organization and other relevant institutions to consider at least 50% discount on the cost of TOEFL, GRE and other international exams for Iranian applicants (as a discount code of at least 50% for Iranians).
The simultaneous occurrence of socioeconomic pressures in Iran and recent foreign educational sanctions imposed on Iranians has created significant hardships for Iranian applicants.
And many young Iranians are in dire need of international assistance. These exams are the path to access educational and professional opportunities for a better life; the high costs and even the requirement to travel to another country to take the exam has made this path very difficult and sometimes impossible for Iranians.
Such respectful humanitarian and educational support, which is a valuable step by ETS, will be a huge step in reducing the suffering and maintaining the hope of Iranians, especially the young generations in Iran, and undoubtedly deserves the appreciation of the international communities and millions of young Iranians.
We also sincerely request the esteemed ETS organization to kindly provide the following supports to Iranian applicants in order to help preserve the hope for educational opportunities:
1. The possibility of changing the time of ETS exams for free for Iranian candidates in special regional conditions.
2. Providing **special and compensatory discounts**, considering the cancellation of the previous discount, and considering the difficult economic and psychological pressures on Iranian applicants due to recent unfair sanctions.
3. Providing the possibility of taking the exam as a **Home Edition in Iran**, if possible and in compliance with ETS regulations.
We sincerely thank the esteemed ETS organization in advance for its attention, support, and humanitarian support, and we hope that these measures will be an effective step in fostering hope for life and educational motivation among Iranian youth.
