Sad, but Councillor Dasko's "disappointment" at Doug Ford's bait-and-switch Ministerial Zoning Order (MZO) is not a little ironic given that, contrary to pre-election promises, Councillor Dasko himself issued the same DIKTAT by single-handedly "with the stroke of a pen" cancelling the City of Mississauga's 2010-2018 planned, approved, financed and 2019 scheduled OH Park Foot-Bike Bridge construction based on the OHHA Board's sham 2021 "Survey" which was staged AFTER the results of TWO previous surveys conducted by the City of Mississauga and Councillor Dasko himself showed a majority IN FAVOUR of the CONNECTED, CONVENIENT, COMFORTABLE and SAFE OH Park Foot-Bike Bridge to Etobicoke Creek Trail promised in the City of Mississauga Cycling and Pedestrian Master Plans ... Furthermore, the OHHA Board continues its years-long censorship of any posts to the OHHA Facebook Group Pages relating to the OH Park Bridge and any Petition Flyers posted in public spaces like Ron Searle Park and Orchard Heights Park are regularly vandalized. ... 

Meanwhile Councillor Dasko has neither acknowledged, nor replied to, the 430+ Signatories (almost 100 MORE Signatories than the TOTAL N=345 Respondents in the OHHA Survey Report, and almost 300 MORE Signatories IN FAVOUR, than the 138 NOs in the OHHA Survey Report) recorded to date in the Petition to install the Orchard Heights Foot-Bike Bridge at: https://www.change.org/p/petition-to-install-the-planned-approved-orchard-heights-park-foot-bike-bridge 

In the result, it appears the self-serving Orchard Heights Bike Bridge NIMBYs vision of maintaining a "gated community" feel has turned into a future nightmare for anyone wishing to exit Orchard Heights onto Dixie Road or South Service Road by car, let alone to access Marie Curtis Park and the Waterfront Trail on foot, by bike or with kids ... � � � � � � �
