Last week our petition was presented yet again to our council's Arts, Culture and Heritage committee. Unfortunately, they will not make an exception to the rule and give Ritchie a blue plaque. I have told them it's Weston's loss and a plaque when he has passed away (God forbid) will not be acceptable. There is a chance that Ritchie could leapfrog the council and have a special plaque put at the place of his birth but that's up him to organise. Thanks for all your support
