Hi Everyone!

Thank you again for signing this petition. News broke yesterday that the Delta Park Bottle Drop will be closing this summer. We were aware of this but now the public may take notice. This will leave the Glisan Bottle Drop and the new AARC operated by The People's Depot as primary locations to redeem containers for hand counts and cash. The People's Depot does not plan to take green and blue bags.

This is critical moment- The proposed site is moving forward through city planning and has gotten an Alternative Works Review approved. This means that minimal focus on safety is being done- a traffic or pedestrian study wasn't "required" so they are not being considered. We are unsure what this means as far as required safety upgrades at the site- potentially very few if any! 

Please write to the Mayor, City Councilors, Rep Nosse, Senator Taylor, PBOT and City Planning leadership to express your concern about safety at this site especially in light of the number of potential visitors.
