The Mexican tourism industry brought in a huge $16 billion in 201. This industry needs to act fast, public backlash could soon reduce this revenue. The captors and prison guards of these creatures need to realise the strength of opposition, and how dolphin parks can actually damage the reputation of a country. And what then for the hundreds of dolphins kept captive? But Mexico, you could play this well. Mexico is surrounded by ocean, a thriving shoreline, where wild dolphins, turtles, sharks and more are a common site. So what about an ocean lagoon, to rehabilitate these captured dolphins? An actual conservation project, the opportunity to right the wrongs, and still flourish with tourism. Still gaining income by offering the chance to feed, to observe, to learn about these dolphins, to follow their journey from captivity to release. The first of it’s kind, a revolution for other countries to aspire to… a reason for people to choose Mexico.
