Hey there 9gaggers :)

TL;DR: Here's a petition to make 9CHAT great again (or at least better than the state it currently is in). Sign it already and get back to 9gagging LOL

So remember when this app was about 9gagging without the giving out cookies for everything that we did part? Whatever happened? Meh, who cares when it went down the tubes, we know it's already there so let's try and improve it now by making our voice heard...

Here are some suggestions for a better 9CHAT experience:

1. Remember those days when by one look at the number of poops you'd instantly knew you were dealing with a troll? Or you'd knew you were dealing with members in good standing by the number of their cookies? We should have that back. We need 9GAG to bring back the old cookie and poop system, make them visible to public, and also, no more stalking who's following who, privatize the followers' and followees' names to be available only to the member. Only the number of followers and followees should be visible to the public like cookies and poops records to let others know if they're truly dealing with outstanding members, just in case a troll has bought a lot of cookies. But let's put some twists on cookies shall we? 

• 1a. Limit the number of free cookies that are available for each member to use to 5 per day. Members can also buy more if they want, but no more packs of thousands of cookies, the most expensive pack should only contain about 50 cookies. 

• 1b. Limit the number of poops that are available for each member to use to 3 per day. 

• 1c. Limit the number of cookies or poops that person A can give to person B to 1 per day, and that can be only one of the two. Giving out one cookie to someone that deserves it should be more valuable than sending out dozens or hundreds just to be noticed by OP. This is not a strip club, so no more making it rain, sorry 9hoes, you're still appreciated though ;) 

• 1d. A member can receive an unlimited number of cookies in one day (one cookie from one member) but can only get a maximum of 3 poops per day. this will help to stop good members from getting spammed with poops. 

• 1e. No more paying cookies for commenting on posts. Let's just pretend this disaster never happened. 

• 1f. Make poops actually matter by suspending the following privileges: 1.Sending chat requests, 2.Posting new posts 3.Commenting on other people's posts, for the accounts that are exceeding the poop to cookie ratio of 3:1, also each poop will cost the offender 2 cookies. Suspensions must be for 48 hours and the offenders will get clean slates by having their cookie and poop numbers reset to 0.

2. Remember what the title of this app is? 9CHAT, this is an app for 9gaggers to communicate with each other like each of us would do so with other private chatting apps without the need to give out phone numbers or emails to strangers, and now it is reduced to one request per day. Really 9GAG? Just one? Here are a few changes that I'm sure everyone can appreciate: 

• 2a. First of all, fix the most important aspect of this app. Increase the number of chat requests that a person can send to 5 requests per day. This'll give each member a good chance to end up having some conversation with another member or two, without giving trolls the ability to spam chat requests. 

• 2b. Let members be able to see how many more requests they can send in the chat request message box, it's a private and a quick way to know how many request you've got left for the rest of the day. It's small but I'm sure some members can appreciate seeing this is their last request for the day before hitting that send button. 

• 2c. Allow members to get even more chat request by converting 10 cookies into 1 chat request and for the following requests, keep on increasing the Requirement based on the Previous Requirement by this formula: R=PR+(PR*0.5). However, this option must be allowed only to members who have a minimum of 50 cookies in their account to even further reduce spamming.

3. Other changes that would make the experience even more enjoyable: 

• 3a. Where are the anonymous posts? those posts would invoke a rather entertaining form of cringe and most people would appreciate having the option to use them. Anon posts should be available in ALL groups of 9CHAT, how to control it? Simple, one free anon post per day, more will cost like the extra chat requests costs. 

• 3b. So why is it that we can not edit our comments or posts once they are sent? Adding the option to edit these items is not that complicated you know? If other services can do it, you can too 9GAG, don't be lazy. 

• 3c. Question! why can't we share pictures in private chats? A lot of people use fake pictures in their profiles simply because they don't want to put their real pictures on public display. The obvious answer is, to avoid receiving those specific kinds of unwanted photos. Let's say two people with fake photos are chatting, they don't want to put their pictures in their profile but wouldn't mind sharing one privately, the only way they can do so is by giving out more information to strangers, and contact them outside of 9CHAT, if the intentions are pure, everything is fine, but if not, I know I'd rather get the picture, realize that I'm dealing with a troll, and block/report that account without giving that person more of my private contact information. To avoid any problems, on the conversation page, there should be a toggle button, turned off by default mind you, that enabling it would allow a person to receive a single picture before turning off automatically again.

Well, I'm glad that you took a few minutes and read these suggestions. Now if you agree that these changes can fix this disaster that we are ended up with today that apparently cannot stop outdoing itself in getting worse and worse with each new update, or the very least, be a real improvement to our experience compared to what we've seen over these past months, please sign this petition and to let 9GAG know, this is not the way to treat it's users.

We 9CHAT folks of the 9GAG army are from all different walks of life, all of us have trolled and been trolled, all of us check out the NSFW sections, we all bash each other, stereotype and make fun of each other while grabbing that popcorn... but we also help and pick one another up, we give each other advice on how to overcome the difficulties of life and to move on from the bad experiences of the past. At the end of the day, we may not be perfect, but 9CHAT community shares a bond that is rarely present on any other services out there, and that makes us perfect.
