Dear Archana,

I hear you!

I strongly believe that every woman in India must know about the #MeToo movement because every woman has a story that society needs to hear. I also want women in every corner of the country to know that they are not alone in their harrowing experiences and that we mustn’t normalise it either.

Radio is a great medium to reach out to people and as a radio professional with almost 15 years of work experience, I’ve been doing everything I can on my show that your petition talks about. As the #MeToo movement unfolded in India, I did my best to cover various aspects of it and I continue to do so constantly via LIVE Radio.

Like you've asked in your petition, I am trying to take the #MeToo movement to more survivors and in keeping with just this we have created a show solely to talk to women across the country so we can share our stories without feeling that we’re alone whilst also empowering women to Speak Up.

Taking another step in this direction, I am doing a podcast called #MainBhi on the JioSaavn app. The show is an attempt to voice the harrowing experiences that women go through in our country. The first episode of this audio show went live on the 27th of January.

It narrated the story of workplace harassment that women face and our second episode is up as of yesterday talking about how abuse could happen through people closest to us. This will be a 10-part series.

You can listen to both these on JioSaavn app on this link-https://bit.ly/2SgXHvF/ http://jiosaa.vn/mainbhiep2

I think a 'voice' has a duty to use its power to do better and do more.

#MainBhi is my step in that direction.
