This is to highlight ongoing continuous serious violations of the CRZ notification by construction activities in Pockets D & E , Sector-60, Nerul, Navi Mumbai 400 706.

A builder has started construction in Sector 60 on Palm Beach Road in Nerul Navi Mumbai in an area mapped as CRZ II in Draft Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) Map for Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Thane District, Maharashtra As per CRZ 2011 Notification.

Extract from Map highlighting the area where the construction activities have started in CRZ II area in violation of CRZ notification is attached.

It is very clear from the MAP that there is violation of CRZ rules. Pocket D & E falls in CRZ II and part of Pocket D falls in inter-tidal zone - CRZ IB.

We request you to kindly immediately stop the construction happening in violation of CRZ Regulation.

The Supreme Court recently ordered demolition of residential towers in Kerala built in violation of CRZ norms.

We can prevent similar situation happening in Maharashtra by stopping the construction activities immediately.
