This Documentary Film has been made as Part of a Campaign to Save Wetlands in India with a Specific Example of Dhanauri Wetlands that deserves to be a Ramsar Site & Wetland of International Importance and a Sarus Sanctuary. Dhanauri Wetlands is home to over 50000 Birds of 216 Species - Migratory & Resident - and is perhaps the only Roosting Site for more than 140 Sarus Cranes. it highlights the Usefulness of Wetlands that are known at one of the Best Eco-systems. It is also home to 18 Species of Birds that are either Endangered, Vulnerable and Near-Threatened. "Save Dhanauri - Save Wetlands". 757060 Wetlands need to be Protected by Law and Under Directions of Supreme Court. Not One single Wetland has been identified, notified and protected as yet by Government of India/States.Wetlands are Critical to Water Security of India as One Hectare of Wetland can recharge Aquifers to the extent of 3-& Million Litre of Water every year.
The Film has WON FOUR Awards as Best Documentary and one as Honourable Mention In Nature/Conservation/Wildlife Category at International Film Festivals. More Results Pending.
