Shri Aaditya Thackeray Ji,

It is now almost more than one month when citizens of Navi Mumbai had a meeting with you i.e. honorable minister Shri Aaditya Thackeray in Mantralaya on 27th January 2020 .

The meeting was presided by Shri Aaditya Thackeray & attended by Shri Lokesh Chandra, MD CIDCO & Shri Nitin Kareer, Principal Secretary Urban Development Department and other officials.

In the meeting, following Decisions taken /guidelines issued by honorable Environment Minister:

1. The 33 hectares of Talawe(NRI) & TS Chanakya wetlands to be protected, being part of National Wetlands inventory & part of Wetlands protected vide supreme Court order of October 2017 in case of M K Balakrishnan & others.

2. Debris/soil dumping incidents should not be repeated as was done by Mistry Construction in October 2017. Citizens were forced to approach Wetlands authority and Bombay High Court to get the debris removed from Wetlands in Pocket D.

3. Fencing to be done on the waterbody side with necessary buffer zone to prevent recurrence of such dumping .

4. The CIDCO to look into its letter to MCZMA of January 2017, saying that "there are NO Wetlands in pockets A to E." which has resulted in approval by MCZMA for Golf Course & residential towers project. It has resulted in unnecessary litigation and also giving bad name to Maharashtra Government.

5. To declare 33 hectares of Wetlands of Talawe & TS Chanakya as Flamingo sanctuary where CIDCO had earlier planned for golf Course & residential towers project.

The CIDCO MD agreed to come back with detailed plan of Flamingo sanctuary in these Wetlands within next 8 days.

However it has been more than 30 days and we haven't heard anything from CIDCO MD in this regard. More than 1000 mails have been sent to him but he has not responded to any of them. He has also not made any official announcement about the proceedings of the meeting and decisions taken in the meeting.

Sir , You are requested to kindly ask CIDCO MD to make official announcement of the decisions taken in the meeting, declare Flamingos Sanctuary at the earliest, scrap golf course and real estate project on these Wetlands and to withdraw its SLP before Supreme Court .
