Dear Sir , Please refer to High Court Order in PIL 87 of 2013 dated 25th July 2016 available from your website www.konkanwetland.com under resources. Even though committee has been formed as per High Court decision many of directions are still not followed and need to be implemented immediately . 1. Para 7 of the order - The committee shall make arrangements to receive complaints about destruction of wetlands by E mail & by way of Whatsapp number. Status - Not implemented. The site gives only 2 landline numbers and email or whatsapp number is not available anywhere . 2.Para 9 - Action taken on the basis of complaints received by all modes should be displayed on the website. Status - Not implemented.Only numbers of complaints resolved is shown on website , which is of no help to public. 3. Para 10 - If complainant has given his Name , address and contact details , even the complainant shall be informed about the proposed site visit by government officers. Status - Not implemented. It is almost 2 years from the passing of high court order & many of the directions have either not been implemented at all or implemented in half hearted manner. For example - No publicity to website , no dedicated help line number etc.Sharing with Forest department who than give some other number . Please do the needful at the earliest in letter and spirit.
