The NRI wetlands and flamingoes visiting this area is featured in NMMC calendar as highlight of Navi Mumbai. Ironically same area has been earmarked by CIDCO for destruction to make a 2nd Golf Course in Navi Mumbai and residetial complex. Not only these wetlands are beautiful but also prevent flooding . Citizens have been writing to Urban development Department to take back the notification for change of use of these areas from No development Zone but to no avail .
