#saveNaviMumbaiMangroves I regret to inform you that despite repeated complaints with photographs and videos to various authorities no action has been taken against the culprits responsible for cutting of number of trees without any permission, destruction of mangroves , damage to wetlands , dumping of debris on mangroves and wetlands despite their being clear cut law and directions from High Court from time to time. This has emboldened the contractors to continue with such activity . Even today drilling work was going on using big machine in the area reclaimed out of dumping debris on water body ie mangroves and wetlands . The machine is making so much noise that it is disturbing not only the birds in nearby lake but also residents of nearby buildings. The contractor also dumped gravel on reclaimed land. The concerned authorities were requested to take necessary action to stop these activities and punish the culprits otherwise we will be forced to go to High Court for contempt of its orders.
