Water body behind NRI a buffer for excess water

Photographs of water body behind NRI Complex in Nerul Navi Mumbai which used to be dry during low tide and full of migratory birds like flamingos is now fully filled up with water only after a week of rains. Photo is of area where residential units and a golf course is being put up by CIDCO ! I shudder to think where all this water will overflow and what havoc it will cause if these water bodies are filled up by CIDCO for Residences and golf course. Will it flood only NRI complex or whole of Seawoods , nerul only time will tell but surely flooding and water logging will a big problem in monsoon and high tides .
