My original post says we have/had until 9/6/22 to stop Bentley's senseless euthanasia (who am I kidding here) ... his SENSELESS MURDER!
What I meant was Baron had until then to file through the appellate court. He MUST keep it in the court system or Bentley WILL be put down.
Right now it's 9/19/22 and I CAN confirm Bentley is alive and still in the shelter.
We aren't having luck with attorneys, all the ones contacted can't take the case or won't take the case.
It's also been now brought to our attention that the papers filed were done so in the wrong court. Baron has 15 days (from 9/7) so 9/22 to get the appropriate papers filed in the correct courts OR I believe the order to put Bentley down will move forward.
We NEED AN ATTORNEY. Please. If anyone is a licensed TN attorney or knows one reach out to me directly. We are literally down to the crunch.
We haven't kept this going for 7 months, almost 10,000 signatures captured, and almost $5000 raised to lose this way. We have to SAVE BENTLEY!
He's a sweet boy and he doesn't have a voice here. We, us, and others - we've elected to BE HIS VOICE. But I'm worried our voices aren't being heard.
I've failed at a lot of things in life. I don't want to fail here... I can't bare the thought of letting Bentley (and Baron) down because I won't just dust myself off from this and move on... it will break something inside of me.
Time is not on our side.
Justice isn't on our side.
This isn't about being righteous.
It's ABOUT SAVING BENTLEY!!
I'm sitting here with my pup (Lucy) thinking it so easily happened to Baron... it could just as easily happen to me/Lucy.
Doggo people get it... they're not JUST a dog to us. They are our family, they're blood in our opinions, they're our whole hearts. They're our fur babies, our person, a love to our life. We sit here taking forever granted our pups always thinking "it won't happen to me" but it happened to Baron/Bentley and it COULD happen to you.
Keep signing. KEEP SHARING! We all want to SAVE Bentley from his untimely death... so lets DO THIS!! :-)
