I am totally gutted! On the 20th of April,2016, i sent Queensland Attorney General, Yvette D'Arth, our petition of 35'000 signatures, pleading with her to appeal the sentence handed down to Gary Brabham, 18 months jail, 12 months suspended for the rape of a six year old girl. What made this sentence even more unconscionable is the fact that Brabham raped this little girls sister in 2009! To this day i have not had a reply from Yvette D'arth or her office, however, the Queensland Shadow Attorney General, Ian Walker MP, had the decency to reply to my email requesting he help seek an appeal. My suspicions about the Labor party stalling for time to protect Brabham seems to have come to fruition. Currently at a loss as to what we can do now.
