We invite you to join 50:50 Parliament on 1 Dec at the House of Commons. 50:50 Parliament is hosting a debate to commemorate the day that Nancy Astor MP took her seat on 1 Dec 1919. She was the first woman MP to ever take her seat in the Commons. We will meet and rally by Parliament’s railings, opposite Westminster Tube at 5.30, and then go through Parliament, together, to Committee Room 13 of the House of Commons, for a debate on: “How to achieve better gender balance in Parliament”. The cross-party panel of MPs debating this issue will include: Maria Miller MP, Chair of the Women and Equalities Select Committee, Seema Malhotra MP, Wes Streeting MP, Ben Howlett MP, Caroline Lucas MP, Callum McCaig MP, Angela Crawley MP and Sophie Walker, Leader of the Women's Equality Party. 50:50 Parliament looks forward to seeing many supporters at this key event in the campaigning calendar.
