Currently, PVTA is considering making changes to the 38 and 39 lines due to budgetary issues. For Five College students, this will have a widespread impact on interactions between our campuses. These changes will also effect our safety, as the Saturday 1:35 am stop will be removed. Without this bus, we will be at a severe disadvantage when it comes to getting home at night, with the only alternative being Uber which is incredibly unreliable (costs range anywhere from $15-$90 for a ride from UMass to Mount Holyoke, and are dependent on having a charged phone and money to begin with). Additionally, we are all paying for this service, and by taking it away we have less access to medication (CVS), classes offered at other schools, and diversions which keep us sane. So please, sign the petition to show PVTA what's up.
