WHEREAS, Wesley Dale Morgan has been missing since May 15, 2001. And

WHEREAS, there has been very little activity on his case locally or nationally since the initial investigation. And

WHEREAS, I have acted nearly alone and continuously for years attempting to generate large scale awareness of his disappearance. And

WHEREAS, intense national exposure of his disappearance may generate immediate tips and/or other information that could lead investigators to him. And

WHEREAS, The FBI Agent currently assigned to his case has advised he would communicate with the officials of the news program "48 Hours" . And

WHEREAS, communications to "48 HOURS' from me as a single individual carry little weight due to the large volume of case request they receive. And

WHEREAS, There is great power in numbers.

I, Richard K. Sobers, am requesting your assistance in creating a more powerful and louder voice for Wesley by signing this petition. Every time a person signs this petition an email is sent to "48 HOURS" requesting they produce a story about Wesley and that they communicate with the FBI at 225.291.1446.  Wesley has been missing way too long.  As a child of East Feliciana Parish, we should do all we can to find him.  He deserves to be located and not forgotten. We must send a message that we will not sit idle and allow this child to be lost for ever.  We must stand together as human beings and express our concern for not only Wesley but any missing persons of the future in our parish.
