Petition update318 Small Animals Sent to Humane Society of Southern Arizona Still Unaccounted ForToo Little Too Late – Release The Forbidden - Hidden Emails!

While San Diego Humane Society continues to claim they had no knowledge 323 animals were going to one “rescue”; they continue to deny public record request asking for the emails between Jessica Des Lauriers and Christian Gonzalez.  Emails - with details of the transport.

How could the animals be "waiting adoption at the campus when Des Lauriers watched them driven off the campus?

" If SDHS had no prior knowledge the animals were going to one “rescue” they most certainly had knowledge at the HSSA facility late afternoon on 8/7/2023 when 323 animals were videoed and photographed being transported from the SDHS rented truck to the HSSA truck/vans.  In fact, Jessica Des Lauriers watched the animals never go into the HSSA facility for wellness exams – but instead - shipped directly off on a total trip of 18 ½ hours to an unknown destination arriving in the middle of the night.
Is this yet another claim of standard procedures?

SDHS owned the animals that were stolen, then HSSA owned them, both having a right to go to the Attorney General with complaints.  While the shelters continued to drag their feet on prosecuting Gonzalez and Farley for theft and animal cruelty; the animal advocates obtained more information/facts on the truth since August than both shelters so called investigators.
When the advocates found the animals were factually sent into a high danger situation with snake breeders early on – shamefully neither shelter demanded the missing animals back or took action to save them.

On 11/15/2023 the San Diego Humane Society posted an update with more changing stories and blocked people from freedom of speech so only supportive comments are shown.  Comments spanning over the last three months are disappearing, the outpouring of support for the animals, the demands for transparency, the sharing of facts about the transport and the investigation - All Gone - Just Like The Animals

Nonprofit organizations are not only accountable to the donors but also the public for ethical behaviors and compliance with the guidelines.
Accountability does not necessarily mean complying with the laws only but also being transparent with the sponsors or donors and the public

Hundreds of precious little victims were taken from a safe and happy place into fear, stress, suffering then death.  The despicable irresponsibility and the outcome is heart wrenching beyond words.  Both shelters and everyone involved should be fired and charged with animal cruelty and fraud.
No Excuses - Not Forgivable and Reprehensible.
