When the animals arrived at HSSA, Christian Gonzalez, Chief Programs Officer allegedly transported all of the animals directly to a “private rescue”  - "His other true passion is spending his time caring for and rescuing reptiles. He has been involved in the rescue and placement of hundreds of reptiles nationwide". 

It is a valid concern Gonzalez has a side business of breeding Ball Python snakes, and being very active in the reptile industry. 

Steve Farley (HSSA CEO) unethically entrusted over 300 prey animals in the care of a python breeder who took them to a "secret rescue" in the middle of the night.  (Conflict of Interest)

Pythonidea Empire is the name of Gonzalez' business,
where he is listed as CJ Gonzalez. "Specializing In Ball Python Morphs 'Quality Not Quantity'".  The website store is posted on Morphmarket.com, here you can read one revolting inhumane discussion about feeding live pet rabbits to snakes.
