Thank you to the 1500+ people who have signed/shared this petition so far! 23andMe are now aware of this petition via their customer care team. 

23andMe's initial follow up response:

"I can assure you that we are actively looking into this, and that we take this request seriously. Due to the recent geopolitical history of the region, we are still working on the research and development necessary to add a Palestine recent ancestor location. 

We hope to have an update available soon."

When asked about an elaboration to the mentioned 'update available soon' this was their response:

"I do not have a timeline as to when this update could take place - I apologize for any inconvenience. However, I can assure you that this is a priority, and we are working on it."

Unfortunately, I could not find any public statements from 23andMe acknowledging this issue. According to https://www.23andme.com/global-genetics/ there is no current public effort by 23andMe to include Palestine.
