Just today we see reported in the press that a "woman" has sexually assaulted 4 women at Newhall Prison in Wakefield. But .....Karen White is a trans identified male and has now been placed back in a male prison. When these offences were committed White had a clearly visible erect penis and was seen to be "aroused" according to emerging press reports. Yet still White has been charged as a woman and appeared as a woman at Magistrates court earlier this month. This male-bodied person will appear in court in August charged as a woman. The victims of these sexually assaults, if they are present to give evidence, will have to call their attacker "she". They will be instructed to do this by a judge. When convicted these assaults will be recorded as female crimes. But they are not female assaults. These are not crimes committed by a biological female. These crimes should not be cited within female crime statistics and these violent criminals should never be placed among vulnerable women because they self-identify as women. The Equality Act provides for sex-segregated space when it is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim. What could be more legitimate than keeping violent potential rapists *with a penis* away from confined women who they may attack with that penis. It is almost too obvious to bother typing. The law is allowing this and this must stop. Women's rights cannot be erased by trans rights.
