Every year The Los Altos Crier reaches out to wealthy Silicon Valley residents for donations in the name of supporting local charities and nonprofits, including WomenSV.

This year was is no different.

Concealing the fact that publishers Liz Nyberg and CPA Dennis Young sit on the WomenSV board, the newspaper is once again soliciting donations while  publishing articles about WomenSV.  For years the newspaper published information it knew to be false and misleading. It was done with malice and allowed divorce lawyers to prey on vulnerable women involved in a divorce with allegations of domestic violence.

Today the paper printed another article promoting  donations for WomenSV as the nonprofit is poised to be added to several malpractice, class action and taxpayer lawsuits.

For 23 years the The Los Altos Town Crier has created a " Holiday Fund" noting that in 2022- 2023 it raised $240,000 for local nonprofits.

This year the paper is promoting donations for 16 groups including  Child Advocates of Silicon Valley, the Community Health Awareness Council, Community Services Agency’s Food & Nutrition Center, the Community School of Music and Arts’ Artistic Intelligence program, the Dayworker Center of Mountain View, Help One Child, Hidden Villa Summer Camps, Hope’s Corner, Los Altos Youth Theatre, the MERIT program at the Krause Center for Innovation, Music for Minors, Mentor Tutor Connection, MVLA Scholars, Sky’s the Limit Fund, the Veterans Resource Center at Foothill College and WomenSV

The newspaper continues to promote WomenSV, while failing to disclose the publisher's relationship with the nonprofit, or the fact that Dennis Young does their taxes.

The newspaper is not a nonprofit,  it is unclear how they collect the donations and fairly assure distribution. It is clear that all money raised for WomenSV will not go to assist victims of domestic violence with shelter, or therapy as Ruth Patrick has no medical or therapuetic background. She only worked in the billing department of Stanford's psyche ward.

Paul Marcille, who is also on the WomenSV board, is Ruth Patrick's personal therapist and aware of her well documented mental health issues.

WomenSV claims to be "educating children"  and Ruth Patrick claims to have been an edcuator ( KLOVE Radio interview) .

Facts:

Ruth worked as a teacher for just over 6 months and then was fired, according to school adminstrators.

WomenSV acts as a marketing scheme for the following divorce attorneys;

James McManis of McManis Faulkner

Natasha Parrett  and Michael Benetto of Hoge Fenton

Jim Hoover, Julia McDowell, Constance Carpenter and Andrea Gusto of Hoover Krepelka law firm.

Jessica Dayton of ADZ Law Firm

Todd Emanuel

Rachel McKenzie, Attorney at the Pro Bono Project and President of the Santa Clara County Family Law Bar Association.

Nicole Ford, Minors Counsel and appointee to the Santa Clara Domestic Violence Council.

BJ Fadem, Minors Counsel, Private Judge, Local Bar " Award Winner" .

Sean Onderick

Hector Moreno

Donnell Morgan, Yanna Sukhodrev and Ginna Azzolino of MTSA.

Do not donate to WomenSV, directly or through local newspapers spreading fake news and misinfomation. 65 women and several men have come forward to describe the horrors this so- called nonprofit inflicted on their lives in connection with a Silicon Valley divorce.
