本活動を始めて2週間が経ちました。想像以上の反響、そしてご支援に心から感謝申し上げます。本活動は意見を共にする数人で始めました。チーム一同、署名をしてくださった方、シェアしてくださった方、さらには、大切なお金を使ってプロモーションに協力してくださった方までいらっしゃいました。本当に、本当にありがとうございます。どのような方法であれ、本署名に関わってくださった方々がいたという事実は、私たちにとって大きな励みであり、そして本署名を意義あるものにしてくださったと感じています。
また、私たちの署名内容には賛同はできないが、今回の経営管理ビザに関わる変更に対しては同じように反対し、意見公募に提出してくださった方々もいました。本件に対して、皆さま自身が考え、何かかしらの行動を取ってくださること自体が、私たちの活動の目的でもありました。知らない方達に今回のことを知っていただく。それだけで私たちにとって大きな意味があります。
この文章を書いている時点で、意見公募の締め切りまで残り9日となりました。まだ意見公募に提出されていない方がいらっしゃいましたら、手遅れになる前に、声を挙げてください。意見公募で意見を提出することは、私たちの声を政府に届ける一番の方法です。まだ何も正式に決定していません。まだ間に合います。この最後の9日間が最後のチャンスなのです。
今、日本で経営管理ビザを取得している41,600人、そして、将来このビザを取得し日本ですばらしいビジネスをする可能性のあるすべての人たちのために、何かを少しでも変えられることを願っています。

この9日間の間に、今回の経営管理ビザの変更によって深刻な影響を受ける人々へインタビューをしている短い動画を公開予定です。また、期限までに間に合うかはわかりませんが、各メデイアで特集していただけるように交渉も進めています。もしも知り合いにメディア関係者がいて、本件に興味を持っていただけそうでしたらぜひご紹介ください。

Dear supporters of the petition,
We’re 2 weeks into the “Don’t Kill Foreign Entrepreneurship in Japan” movement, and your support has been genuinely overwhelming! All of us in the small group of people behind the movement, would like to give our deepest, most heartfelt thank you to all of you! Whether you signed the petition, shared it, or even went as far as donating your hard-earned money to promote it, the fact that you spent any sort of energy on the cause means the world to us!
We also know that some people found themselves disagreeing with the contents of the petition and our movement, but also heavily disagreeing with the proposed visa regulation changes, and thus went ahead and submitted a public comment without supporting our movement - that’s all we could have ever hoped for, and we’re happy as long as we can bring awareness to the proposed changes.
At the time of writing, we are 9 days away from the closing of the public comments period. If you haven't yet, and you are able to, please take the time to submit a public comment on the proposed changes. This is the best way to make your concerns on the matter heard by the lawmakers of Japan. Nothing has been officially passed yet, and these next 9 days will be our last chance of pushing back against what will effectively be the death of foreign entrepreneurship in Japan. Let’s keep fighting this important fight, and hopefully make a difference for the 41600 current business manager visa holders, and all the future ones we would potentially lose.
If you have any friends or family who might be interested in the movement, or concerned about the proposed changes, please do share the petition with them! This movement will live and die by the amount of people getting engaged and submitting comments on the proposal, so the network effect is crucial to us. During the next 9 days, we will be releasing a small video, highlighting some of the people affected by the proposed changes, focusing on the Hokkaido ecosystem. We are also working on getting an article out with a major news outlet, but it’s too early to tell if that will happen in time or not. We will post new updates if/when any of this comes out! And obviously, if you know any people that work within the media, who might be interested in doing a short notice piece on the movement, do let us know!
