私たちが 「青森の宝」 と呼んでいる奥入瀬渓流が危機に瀕しています。 いま、この有名な渓流からわずか2キロの地域に、 33基もの風力発電機が建設されようとしているのです。 「惣辺奥瀬風力発電」 です。 この建設は樹木の伐採を伴い、 間違いなくこの地域の自然を破壊します。 風力発電は空気中のCO2削減につながる、 と宣伝されていますが、 CO2 を吸収する森林を伐採し、 おびただしい量の排気ガスをまき散らしての建設が、果たして地球環境の改善につながるものでしょうか? 　私たちはこの計画に反対しています。

World famous Oirase Stream, the jewel of Aomori, is in danger! There is a project of constructing as many as 33 wind generators at a site only 2 kilometers from the stream.

The construction involves felling of trees, and will surely destroy the environment of the area which has been cherished by the people in Aomori, the northern-most prefecture of the main island of Japan. You would be aware of the contradiction of destroying the forest which absorbs CO2 trying to reduce CO2 in the air. We are against the construction of the wind farm.
