天理教校学園高等学校マーチングバンド部の伝統

天理教校学園高等学校マーチングバンド部は1976（昭和51）年の創部以来、40年以上にわたって活動を行っています。その間、マーチングバンドの全国大会には初出場以来40回連続して出場し、16度のグランプリを受賞するなど輝かしい実績を残すと共に、その活動を通して多くの高校生を育成し、現在も180名を超える部員が在籍しています。

Our History

Tenri Kyoko Gakuen High School Marching Band has been active for more than 40 years since its founding in 1976. In the meantime, we have participated in the marching band's national tournament 40 times in a row since our first appearance, have won brilliant achievements such as winning the 16th Grand Prix. We have trained many high school students through its activities, currently have members that exceed over 180 people.

天理教校学園高等学校の閉校

しかしながら本年（令和元年）６月の天理教校学園高等学校の2022（令和４）年度での閉校の発表を受け、マーチングバンド部も学校の閉校と共にその活動を終えようとしています。私たちはこの状況を前にして、同部がこれまでの活動で積み上げてきた実績はもちろんのこと、「一人でも多くの方に喜んで頂く」ことをモットーとする同部の演奏演技やその活動が多くの人に感動や元気を与えてきたこと、さらには同部の存在が天理教の鼓笛活動に取り組む多くの子ども達の目標になっていること等を考えた時に、高等学校の部活動として、現在と同じ形で継続することは出来ないにしても、天理の地で何らかの形でその活動や伝統が残り、これから先も多くの若者達が成長していってほしいと願っています。そしてその思いは実際の演奏演技や活動に触れた多くの方が感じて下さっていると思います。

However, following the announcement of the closing of Tenri Kyoko Gakuen High
School in 2022 in June of this year, the Marching Band is also ending its activities with the closing of the school. In light of this situation, we have not only achieved the track record we have accumulated in our activities so far, but also our performance and motto has impressed and energized many people. The existence of the club itself has become the goal of many children working within the fife and drum activities of Tenrikyo (鼓笛隊). We hope that the activities and traditions will remain in some form in Tenri, and even if they cannot be continued in the same form as today, we hope that many young people will have the same opportunity of growth in the future. And we think that many people who were touched by the actual performances and activities have the same feeling.

多くの若者を育成した伝統を残すために

前述したように、同部には現在も多くの部員が在籍してこれまでと変わらない活発な活動を行っているため、あと３年でその活動が終わるとは想像しにくい状況にあります。しかし現実にはマーチングバンド部の活動を残したい、残ってほしいと思っている方の数の多さや思いの大きさが目に見える形にならないと、存続の可否について検討されることもなく、閉校と共にその歴史が終わってしまうのではないかと考えています。今回、私たちは何とかその伝統が今後も形が変わっても継続してほしい、そしてそれに向けて検討して頂きたいという上から、存続を願う多くの方の思いや声を集める署名活動を行うことに致しました。どのような形で活動が継続出来るのかについては、残すべき、何とか残せないか、という前提に立ってからのことと思いますので、どうかまずはマーチングバンドバイオレットインパルスの存続に向けて検討して頂けるよう、一人でも多くの方のご協力を宜しくお願い致します。

To Keep Our Tradition

As mentioned earlier, many members are still in the club and they continue to
engage in activities as before, so it is hard to imagine that these activities will be completed within three years. However, in reality, if the number of people who want to retain and support the activities of the marching band are not evident, the possibility of its continued existence will not be considered, and the legacy will end with the closing of the school. At this time, we hope that the tradition will somehow continue even in the future, and we would like you to consider it. We will conduct a signature activity that gathers the thoughts and voices of many people who share the same wish and desire for survival. It is not clear in what form the activities can be continued, but we think that it is necessary to keep it, it is necessary to leave it somehow, so please first consider the survival of the marching band,
