一人の声から500人の声へ。日英版を正式展開します
ご署名いただいた皆さまへ

「住宅地と学校周辺の民泊をゼロへ」のオンライン署名が、500名の賛同に到達しました。

一人の住民として抱いた問題意識から始まった活動が、100名、200名と広がり、500名という大きな節目を迎えることができました。ご署名、コメント、共有など、さまざまな形で支えてくださった皆さまに、心より御礼申し上げます。

500という数字以上に大切なのは、住宅地や学校周辺における民泊のあり方について、多くの方が考え、声を寄せてくださったことだと感じています。

この節目を機に、これまで準備してきた日本語・英語併記版を正式に展開し、議論を海外にも広げていきます。

目的は、単に海外から署名を増やすことではありません。世界各地では民泊や短期賃貸について、さまざまな制度や経験があります。そうした海外の事例にも学びながら、日本の制度をより広い視点から考えていきたいと思います。

本活動は、外国人旅行者や特定の国籍・文化を問題視するものではありません。

論点は「誰が泊まるのか」ではなく、

住宅地や学校周辺において、民泊をどこに、どのような条件で認めるべきなのか

という、住環境・教育環境・土地利用の制度設計です。

日本人・外国人を問わず旅行者を歓迎しながら、観光振興と地域住民の生活、子どもたちの教育環境をどのように両立させるかを考えていきたいと思います。

また、これから特に大切にしたいのが、一人ひとりのリアルな声です。

近隣の民泊で経験されたこと、住宅地や学校周辺について感じていること、民泊に肯定的なご意見、海外での制度や経験などがありましたら、ぜひコメント欄にお寄せください。

ご家族、ご友人、お知り合いの中に関心を持ちそうな方がいらっしゃいましたら、この署名活動をご紹介いただければ幸いです。

From One Voice to 500 — Broadening the Conversation Beyond Japan
Dear supporters,

Our petition, “No Minpaku (Short-Term Rentals) in Residential Areas and Around Schools,” has now reached 500 supporters.

What began with the concerns of one local resident grew to 100 supporters, then 200, and has now reached this important milestone.

My sincere thanks go to everyone who has signed, commented, shared the campaign, or supported it in other ways.

More important than the number itself is what it represents: many people believe that the role of Minpaku (Short-Term Rentals) in residential neighborhoods and around schools deserves serious discussion.

To mark this milestone, we are formally expanding the bilingual Japanese-English campaign to a wider international audience.

The aim is not simply to collect more signatures from overseas. Different countries and communities have different experiences and regulatory approaches to Minpaku (Short-Term Rentals). I hope we can learn from them and consider Japan’s system from a broader perspective.

This campaign is not directed against foreign visitors, any nationality, or any culture.

The issue is not who the guests are, but:

Where should Minpaku (Short-Term Rentals) be permitted to operate, and under what conditions, particularly in residential neighborhoods and around schools?

This is a question of residential environments, educational environments, land use, and regulatory design.

We should be able to welcome travelers from Japan and abroad while also considering how tourism, community life, and children’s educational environments can coexist sustainably.

Another important part of this next phase is hearing the real experiences behind the signatures.

If you have experience with Minpaku (Short-Term Rentals) in your neighborhood, thoughts about residential or school environments, a supportive view of Minpaku (Short-Term Rentals), or knowledge of how these issues are handled in another country, please feel free to share your perspective in the comments.

If you know family members, friends, colleagues, or others who may be interested, we would also appreciate you letting them know about this petition.
