私たちは、元タレントの中居正広さんに関する一部の報道、そしてそれを検証するために設置されたフジテレビの「第三者委員会」に対し、強い疑問と懸念を抱いています。

　中居正広さんは長年にわたり、多くの人々に元気や夢を与え、芸能界を牽引して来ました。また、大地震の時は被災地へ赴き、直接励ましの言葉を被災者にかけて心のケアを図り、救援物資の運搬や長期にわたる継続的寄付など、大きな信頼も寄せられた人でもあります。

　そんな「人のために動いてきた人物」に対し、一部の報道では、その名誉や信頼を損なうような情報が真偽不明のまま拡散され、視聴者に誤った印象を与え、拡散された可能性があります。

　その後、フジテレビは「第三者委員会」を設置しましたが、その構成や調査方法や内容、結果の公表が不透明であり、検証機関としての信頼性が問われています。私たちは、ただのファンの声としてではなく、公共の放送を受け取る一視聴者として、この状況に対して声をあげたいと考えました。

・第三者委員会の報告書に対するファクトチェックの活動内容及び、フジテレビが真実相当性を認めた範囲の公開と疑念が残ると判断する範囲の公開

・中居正広さんに関する報道の編集意図及び報道がもたらす影響力の推定範囲についての公開

・上記影響力により発生した人権侵害に対し、公共放送として推定できる人権侵害を発生させてしまったことへの適切な行動及び説明

・上記問題点を今後発生させないための根幹にある『ファクト』についての是正案と再発防止にあたるための行動指針の公開

報道には自由があります。しかしその自由は、事実に基づき、誰かを不当に傷つけるものであってはなりません。検証の過程が信頼されなければ、報道自体の信頼も揺らいでしまいます。

この署名活動は、中居正広さんの名誉の問題であると同時に、「真実がきちんと伝わる社会であってほしい」という、すべての人に関わる願いです。

🕊 Questioning the Transparency and Value of Fuji TV’s “Third-Party Committee Report” — Seeking Truth and Fair Reporting on Masahiro Nakai

 

📣 Purpose of This Petition

We, the supporters of former TV personality Masahiro Nakai, have serious doubts and concerns about some of the reports concerning him, as well as about the “Third-Party Committee” established by Fuji Television to verify those reports.

Masahiro Nakai is one of Japan’s most respected entertainers, best known as the former leader of the legendary group SMAP.

For over three decades, he has brought energy, laughter, and hope to audiences across Japan through music, television, and humanitarian work.

During major natural disasters, he personally visited affected regions to comfort victims, deliver supplies, and make ongoing donations.

He has long been recognized as someone who acts for others.

However, certain media reports have spread unverified or misleading information that may have damaged his reputation and trust. Later, Fuji Television set up a “Third-Party Committee” to investigate, but its composition, methodology, and findings remain unclear and untransparent, raising doubts about its credibility as an investigative body.

As viewers—not just as fans—we believe it is our responsibility to speak up and demand transparency, fairness, and accountability in media reporting.

 

🟨 We Call for:

Public disclosure of the fact-checking process related to the committee’s report, including the range of information Fuji TV deemed credible and the parts that remain in doubt.
Clarification of the editorial intent behind the reports about Masahiro Nakai, and transparency regarding the impact such reporting had on the public.
Appropriate actions and explanations regarding any human rights violations caused by biased or misleading coverage.
Publication of corrective measures and ethical guidelines to ensure that similar problems will not occur again.

Freedom of the press is vital—but it must be grounded in truth, and it must never unjustly harm an individual.

If the verification process itself is not trusted, then the credibility of journalism collapses.
