ปัจจุบันในกรุงเทพมีการสัญจรทางถนนโดยการใช้รถยนต์ส่วนตัวและสาธารณะเเต่อย่างไรก็ตามปัญหาการจราจรที่ติดขัดก็เป็นสิ่งที่เลี่ยงไม่ได้เลยหากต้องการสัญจรไปยังที่ต่างๆ ยิ่งไปกว่านั้นในชั่วโมงเร่งด่วนยิ่งเป็นเรื่องที่แทบจะเป็นไปไม่ได้เลยหากไม่เตรียมการเพื่อที่จะรับมือกับปัญหาการจราจรในกรุงเทพ และถึงแม้ว่าจะมีระบบการเดินทางสาะารณะให้เลือกใช้มากมายแต่ทั้งนี้ทั้งนั้นแล้วผู้โดยสารก็ยังต้องพบเจอกับปัญหาติดขัดต่างๆมากมายเช่นรถไฟฟ้าล่าช้า,ไม่มีกำนหดการเเน่นอนหรือรถเมล์ที่ทำให้การจราจรติดขัด ปัญหาเหล่านี้ยังเป็นสิ่งที่ไม่ได้รับการเเก้ไขหรือปรับปรุงให้ดีขึ้น เราจึงแยกปัญหาออกเป็นหัวข้อต่างๆ5หัวข้อเพื่อทำโครงงานที่สามารถแก้ไขปัญหาเหล่านี้ได้

1.ปัญหาของการจราจรที่ติดขัดโดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในชั่วโมงเร่งด่วนที่ผู้คนต้องสัยจรไปทำงาน ไปโรงเรียนหรือกลับจากสถานที่ต่างๆทำให้เกินการจราจรที่ติดขัดมากกว่าปกติ

2.รถโดยสารประจำทางและMRT เป็นอีกหนทางหนึ่งสำหรับการเดินทางแต่ก็ยังมีปัญหาในด้านระบบต่างๆทำให้เสียเวลายืนรออีกทั้งยังไม่มีตารางเวลาที่เเน่ชัดพอเพื่อระบุเวลาในการเดินทางที่เเน่นอน

3.ในชั่วโมงเร่งด่วนที่ผู้คนต่างต้องการสัญจรไปยังสถานที่ต่างๆทำให้เกินการจราจรที่คับคั่งจนเกินเหตุ เพราะไม่มีการกำหนดพื้นที่ที่เเน่นอนในการสัญจร

จากข้อมูลทั้งหมดนี้เราจึงเลือกพื้นที่ที่หนึ่งเพื่อจำกัดขอบเขตในการทำงานเพื่อให้เข้าใจง่ายขึ้นเเละสามารถแก้ปัญหาได้ตรงจุดมากยิ่งขึ้น ซึ่งพื้นที่ที่เลือกนั้นคือสี่แยกอโศกซึ้งเป็นแยกที่เกิดการเเบ่งถนนหลายแบบอีกทั้งยังมีรถเมล์สาธารณะซึ่งเมื่ออยุ่ในชั่วโมงเร่งด่วนกันทับให้การจราจรทับซ้อนกันสร้างความโกลาหลในการเดินทางขึ้น เราจึงเริ่มเเก้ไขปัญหาจากโดยเรียงลำดับการเดินทางใหม่ในเขตสี่เเยกอโศกโดยเริ่มจากจุดที่เล็กที่สุดคือ

1. เริ่มจากการทำที่จอดรถในเเต่ละซอยที่เข้าถึงได้จากถนนซึ่งไม่ไกลจนเกินไปจากถนนหลักเพื่อให้คนที่่ทำงานในระเเวกกนั้นมีที่จอดรถเป็นหลักเป็นแหล่งไม่ทับซ้อนกันบนท้องถนนที่ใช้สัญจรไปมาเพื่อเลี่ยงปัญหารถติด

2.เพิ่มทางสัญจรของจักรยานเพิ่มเพื่อสนับสนุนให้ผู้เดินทางโดยจักรยานเหตุเพราะการเดินทางโดยจักรยานนั้นช่วยลดมลพิษทางการเดินทางอีกทั้งยยังเป็นการส่งเสริมให้เกินการออกกำลังกายเพื่อสุขภาพที่ดีอีกด้วย

3.ถัดจากที่จอดรถนั้นเราจะมีรถรับส่งในเเต่ละซอยเพื่อลดการจราจรของรถยนต์ส่วนบุคคลเป็นการสัญจรผ่านรถสาธารณะแทน อีกทั้งยังมีตารางเวลาที่เเน่นอนเพื่อให้ผู้คนสามารถเลือกเวลาที่จะใช้เดินทางได้ ยิ่งไปกว่านั้นยังมีป้ายรับส่งระหว่างทางเพื่อให้ผู้ได้สัญจรด้วยรถสาธารณะทั้งหมด

4.เมื่อถึงหน้าซอยเเล้วนั้นจะมีรถรับส่ง รถโดยสารประจำทางประจำโซนของสี่เเยกอโศกเพื่อที่จะทำให้การจราจรบนถนนเส้นหลักนั้นไม่ยุ่งเหยิงจนเกินไปและแทนที่สำหรับรถเมล์ประจำทางอีกมามายในระเเวกอีกด้วย

5.หากต้องการเดินทางออกจากเขตหรือโซนนั้นแล้วต่อจากรถโดยสารประจำทางนั่นก้คือ BTS เพราะเป็นสิ่งที่มีอยู่เเล้วเเละยังสามารถใช้งานได้จริงแต่จะมีปัญหาก้คือตารางเวลาที่ไม่ตรงเเละไม่สม่ำเสมอมากนักซึ่งหากเราจัดตารางเวลาให้ละเอียดเเละสัมพันธ์กันนั้นก็จะสามารถทำให้การเดินทางนั้นสะดวกเเละราบลื่นมากกว่าเดิมเเละลดการจราจรที่ติดขัดได้อีกด้วย

Bangkok is mentioned to be the most traffic congestion city, not only on the side walk or in the building but also the road has very bad traffics especially in rush hour, the time people travels to work, school ,and home. Yet in some area of Bangkok, the traffic is usually bad and most of the problem occurs in the rush hours and some is not even in the rush hour. Since people prefers to travel by private vehicles that basically help them travel faster rather than public transportation which can contain more people and use less road surface.

From all the traffic congestion problems that we faces all around Bangkok, we decided to choose the area which has BTS Asok station and Asok intersection as the center of the area and then go around Sukhumvit area included BTS Nana and Phrompong station with the radians of 1.20 kilometre. The reason is this is the area with high density of population during the day and night since the area has a lot of commercial building where people need to go for work, residential building for people to come back and rest, and those famous restaurant, cafe as a tourist attraction. It also an area where most of the foreigners is staying. With all of this existing building combined with the road that does not have a good hierarchy created one of the most traffic congestion area in Bangkok and it is the reason that we choose this area to help solving this situations.

Road Issue
The first problem that we notices other than the problems above is the road hierarchy which is not well managed in this area. Since there’s quite a big gap between number of road surface network in this area, and any kind of transportation can use the same road surfaces so the mix of transportation system creates a chaos to the traffic and it will gain more depends on numbers of vehicle on road.
The second main problem is usually taking place during rush hour time. The Asok area has dense population and lots of office building and department
store. Most of people here prefers to travel to work, school, and home by private vehicles since the public transportation systems in Thailand is not trustworthy enough especially in rush hour that people is in a hurry and plus the traffic congestion that add more effects to the bus schedule. There’s a research said that Ratchadapisek rd. has the most dense vehicles on road in Bangkok for the number of 438,657 cars per day(2558). This problem of numerous vehicles on road will cause more congestion on the surfaces of the road which already does not have a good hierarchy.

A small situation but could cause a disaster for other vehicles on the road that use the same surface at each bus stop. This will delay the flow of the traffic or even worse it could cause a accident from reckless driving

Delayed of the BTS

Thais are always facing the delay problem of the BTS, In the day 25 of June 2020
there from 06.15-10.03 AM ( around 228 minuets) causing a big chaos for people who needs to travel by BTS. The information tells that people is using BTS 735,000 of people per days and 40,833 people per hours means that in the period of 4 hours that the BTS was delayed effect people around 163,000 people and this numbers is not in concern of the rush hour which there will be more people than normally. The problem is cause by the new lines of the BTS which the head of the executive of BTS cooperation desired to join all of the signaling system of BTS lines together and cause the crash in many times yet if we compare this system to the other system which is a WiFi system that will be more accurate to and faster but it can be disturbed by other nearby signal.

1. PARKING
Define the area of parking in a dense residential area in Sukhumvit. People who live and work around the area and out side people who want to travel in a short distance could reduce a door to door traveling time, connect a parking to shut- tle bus system for more convenience so that they don’t have to drive onto the main road and it will be less use of the road surface.

2. BICYCLE
Provide bicycle for short rent at the new parking for people who doesn’t have car and want to travel around the area for a short distance and also provide a bicycle parking at the public transportation station for convenience to people who rent and to encourage people who live in this area to use more bicycle rather that car or motorbike.

3.SHUTTLE BUS STOP
Spread a shuttle bus stop intermittently so people could walk to the bus stop in a short period of time. Connect shuttle bus system to other transportation networks outside the alley and encourage people to use public transportation rather than a private vehicles. The more convenient people could use public transport the less using of private vehicle.

4.Bus lane
Use a priority bus lane that private vehicle could only use for turning into alley or coming out from valley, only allow bus or other public transportation such as taxi, tuktuk, motorcycle taxi, and school shuttle bus to pick-up, drop-off the passenger and also bicycle. By this solution, bus and other public transportation system would not have to face the traffic congestion with the private vehicle and the time schedule for public transport would be more precise.this could encourage more people too use public transportation and decrease the number of car on the road.

5.BTS
Connect bus to BTS system in case of a longer travel distance for people from outside area or inside area who need to go for farther station.
