Dear friends! This is not only the matter of a lion cub (not a dog!) which you can see in the picture and on the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVGlGZUNMTc&feature=youtu.be ). This is the matter of a lot of various creatures many of which are in the Red book of Russia and in the International Red book – sea seals (they are kept without water reservoirs), ostriches, lamas, and also kangaroos, raccoons, monkeys, lemurs, polar owls, lions, meerkats, bushbabies, etc. Most of them are animal cubs and are under stress without their mothers. Such animals as rabbits, quinea-pigs, chickens, goslings, hamsters are just one day amusement. They are strangled or trampled, and then fed to predators (there were accidents when small children tore off chickens’s wings). Every week contact zoos buy dozens of new live victims. They are kept in tiny pens, 1х1 m, with no place to hide. Everyone can touch and squeeze them (even night animals!) 12 hours a day! Injured creatures need veterinarian help but they don’t receive any. Animals are stuffed with sedatives. There is no climate and temperature control. The animals are kept in the shopping centres on the floor with synthetic cover under electric lights – no sunshine, no fresh air, no green. Contact with animals is not controlled. One of the lion cubs was tortured to such an extent that had deep scratches on his skin (later he was taken to a rehabilitation centre by the officials). They die from infarction and heart problems. They are photographed with flash and get blinded. The aim of this petition is prohibition of these “contact zoos”. WE DEMAND A LAW WHICH COULD PROHIBIT SUCH KIND OF “ZOOS”!
