On June 1, President Trump announced his intention to withdraw the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement, under which the U.S. had committed – along with 196 other countries – to reduce greenhouse emissions, transition towards green energy sources and work together to limit the rise in global temperatures. In response, people across the country turned to Change.org to demand that their states and cities re-commit to upholding the goals set forth under the agreement.
