INTERNATIONAL DAY OF BIODIVERSITY 2023

The International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) on May 22nd has been established by the United Nations to enhance awareness and comprehension of biodiversity matters. To commemorate this remarkable achievement, the proposed theme for this year is "From Agreement to Action: Build Back Biodiversity."

This theme aligns with the outcomes of COP 15, where the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework sets out a roadmap for biodiversity conservation and restoration over the next decade. It includes targets and actions to be undertaken by governments, organizations, and individuals to address the ongoing biodiversity crisis and ensure the sustainable future of our planet. Now, the crucial task is to swiftly transition towards its implementation, emphasizing the need for action.
