There has been a worrying increase of insecurity marked by violent robberies in the last few weeks of October and November. Most of these incidences have led to fatalities. Armed groups are working strategically to rob and harm their victims and most of ths is being done in broad daylight. Residents of Nairobi have to walk around in fear that they may be the next victim of these violent muggings.
We ask the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to boost surveillance and move quickly to find and arrest suspects. The National Police Service also has to be on the lookout and double their efforts to maintaining law and order. These are not usual times as we are forced to confront dangerous gangs that have become way too comfortable in attacking people.
