Jersey has a history of abuse and cover ups, a majority linked to the Haute de la Garenne Children's home. Jersey is often overlooked, as it is a Crown Dependency quite some distance from the UK, but, it is important that it is included especially as Children were moved to and from care homes in Jersey and the UK, and children went 'missing' in transit, overlooked and unwanted and abandoned, Children were abused. Jersey has an independent inquiry of sorts going on, but there are fears that the Jersey 'Establishment' will make this into a whitewash and ensure that Jersey's reputation is protected at the expense of abuse survivors. 

I think it is vital that the care and government backgrounds that allowed and covered up abuse in Jersey are examined thoroughly, from the outside, and with the understanding that government figures can and have been obstructive and against investigations, and that abuse survivors have been further damaged by abuses of process.
