Mick Philpott was an abusive, manipulative man whose greed and avarice meant the deaths of his six innocent children. They did not asked to be born to this man, or into this dysfunctional home. Mick Philpott and those others convicted were responsible for the deaths of those children.

The Daily Mail is seeking to exploit the understandable outrage at this crime, by pinning the blame on the welfare state. Not only is this an insult to the deceased and those greiving their loss, but it is an insult to all those suffering from the painful and un necessary cuts to the Welfare State.
