TfL to increase rush-hour capacity on the 108 route between Lewisham and North Greenwich - ideally with a new 108a route.

The Issue

The 108 bus is often full to capacity during rush hour and when there are events at the o2 arena. As the 108 runs between Lewisham and Stratford going through the Blackwall Tunnel it only runs a double-decker service on special occasions.

We the under-sign therefore call on Transport for London to introduce a new 108a bus route between Lewisham Station and North Greenwich Station following the same route as the 108 between these stops during rush hour.

This relief bus route would not use the blackwall tunnel so would have the flexibility to offer a double-decker service at busier times to increase capacity at North Greenwich Station.
