Remove collective worship of God in state schools

The Issue

State schools are expected to provide a daily act of collective worship. One requirement is " to provide the opportunity for pupils to worship God". Schools and teachers are influential. Assemblies can be used to teach ethics, morals and to use religious examples to help pupils reflect. But stating that they must have the opportunity to worship God implies that officially God exists in schools.

If you do not want your children to be told by their teachers that God exists, please sign this petition.
