Cllr Brewer said "Disabled Children should be put down" he has stated that his personality had changed due to him having a stroke etc. He also said it was 'a wind up' These are reasons he used to justify passing comment that all disabled children should be put down. ~ Mr Brewer, not only are you there to represent the people of Wadebridge East but you are there to make decisions on behalf of the WHOLE of Cornwall. It is a fact that 335 people voted 'for' you but as you represent Cornwall too then it should be taken in to consideration what the 'rest' of Cornwall and the Country think. You felt you had to resign once before, so do the honourable thing and GO NOW!!

UPDATE: Cllr Brewer has since added fuel to the fire. He has given an interview to 'Disability News Service' In this interview he compares Disabled Children to deformed lambs. You can read the full transcript of that interview here:

Brewer case exposes gaping holes in legislation

The comments of a councillor who caused shock and outrage after suggesting that it might be a good idea to kill some disabled babies have exposed serious gaps in the law, according to a leading disability hate crime campaigner.

I hope that no other member of the Cornwall council shares ex-Councillor Collin Brewer's disgusting attitudes. If they do, then they too need exposing and ousting. There should be no room for extreme right-wing bigots like this in positions of power - anywhere.

My daughter is 10 months old, and been diagnosed with CP from a brain injury she received at birth. This was not a choice for us not how we intended our daughter to be, if she could speak I'm sure she'd love to be able to say that she'd like to move, eat, and interact like any normal child out there, not the case though. We love our daughter with all our hearts even with all we have had to deal with she has been a blessing to us. Furthermore for Mr. Brewer and his sick ideas and views he should never be allowed to hold a elected office ANYWHERE. Matter of fact if I read correctly his is on sick leave because of a pre-existing illness he has, now I was under the assumption the UK had socialized medicine which means taxpayers are paying for his illness maybe at a certain age or illness that comes with getting old maybe we should "put them down" as he put it as to not cost taxpayers so much money. How about those apples Mr. Brewer the door can swing your way to JERK. Not that I would ever do anything for that matter either to kill the elderly, because in the blink of a eye my grandmother had a stroke, and went from independent as can be to needing 24 hour supervision. Everybody deserves to live their life to the fullest to the end, but if he can say that about a child that he doesn't even want to be given a chance at life, then I'll just express how we can save money in another way on people that have lived their life and now cost taxpayers money to keep alive. Once again NOT MY BELIEFS just a comparison from one pissed off father.

Our County doesn't stand a chance whilst there are crass, unwordly bigots like Cllr Brewer taking positions of power.
