Bring the Old Republic era of Star Wars to Netflix
It's no surprise to anyone that the Star Wars franchise has experienced a massive resurgence lately, with The Force Awakens released last year and this year with the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. However, it's about time that the stories from over 3,000 years before the Battle of Yavin be told to both new and old fans of the franchise. The Knights of the Republic series of games as well as the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic serve as the main vehicles to tell stories of characters such as Darth Revan, Darth Malak, Bastila Shan, Darth Traya, Meetra Surik, Darth Malgus, Satele Shan, and the list goes on. The popularity of this era in Star Wars history is felt throughout the fanbase, and I feel it would do a massive disservice to us if these stories weren't told. Why Netflix was chosen was because of the wealth of great content they have produced over the years, such as Narcos, House of Cards, and especially everything that Marvel has done and is still currently working on. Not only that, but Netflix can serve as a platform to tell these stories as they were meant to be portrayed: dark, foreboding, and a touch on the mature side. This can also give us fans our healthy dose of Star Wars while we're waiting on the new movies or the new season of Star Wars Rebels. The Old Republic era is a pivotal point in the Star Wars timeline because that's where everything changed, from the Jedi Civil War and the fall of Revan, the First Jedi Purge, and an omnipresent darkness that not only watched the chaos from afar but also kick-started the downfall. Our fanbase would love to see this on Netflix, and I feel that you would enjoy creating and adapting these stories as much as we would enjoy watching them.
Save Agent Carter, bring her to NETFLIX
https://www.change.org/p/marvel-the-fans-want-more-agent-carter Agent Carter connects many people around the world and has a united and devoted fanbase. Everyone especially loves Agent Peggy Carter herself; for her sense of self-value, for not needing anyone’s approval, for her toughness, and her spirit. The show is loved for being a high-quality production from its set design and costuming to its well-written, fully-realized characters and excellent cast. The series may have been canceled - but we can bring it to NETFLIX!
Make Leia an official Disney princess
After the tragic loss of Carrie Fisher, we feel that it is only fitting for Disney to do away with the rule that an official Disney princess must be animated and make Leia a full-fledged princess. This would be a wonderful way to remember Carrie and a welcoming to one of Disney's new properties that is beloved by millions. What we are asking is that the Walt Disney Corporation hold a full ceremony inducting Leia as the newest Disney princess as well as a special service in memory of Carrie Fisher. Art credit J.L. Disney World: Retire Your Dolphins.
Many families grew up watching Disney’s magic on the screen and going to Disney theme parks. The company has delighted, entertained, and sparked our imagination for decades, and has also kept up with increasing entertainment demands. One of the ways it has managed to grow is by providing visitors to one of its parks with a dolphin exhibit. Popularity for this exhibit has been fueled by movies like Finding Nemo, and while this educational experience feeds into the wonder of Disney, it is at the expense of the dolphins’ well-being. At Disney World in Orlando, visitors to the dolphin exhibit are able to spend three hours learning and swimming with these remarkable creatures. Recently, organizational and public outcry on keeping cetaceans, like orcas and dolphins, in captivity shows it is no longer appropriate to keep dolphins confined and forced to entertain or interact with the public. Through scientific discovery we know that dolphins and other cetaceans are incredibly intelligent, are far-ranging, and are highly social. The National Aquarium just announced they are going to retire their dolphins. It’s time Disney does the same. Disney should give their dolphins a chance to live in a more natural world better suited to their needs. Like Nemo and Dory, Disney’s dolphins belong in the ocean.
Move Girl Meets World To Freeform (ABC Family)
Girl meets world is a spin off of the very popular and loved show boy meets world. However unlike boy meets world which was aired on ABC, girl meets world is aired on disney channel. Disney has restrictions on its network that ABC *now known as freeform* does not have. For example, no disney show to my knowledge has gone beyond four seasons. Boy meets world went 7 seasons. If we want girl meets world to run as long as it deserves, we need to get the show moved to freeform before the show inevitably gets canceled after its 4th season. Also, because disney is more catered to kids, girl meets world isn't allowed to explore the many more mature subjects that boy meets world was allowed to explore. Simply put, girl meets world will never reach its fullest potential while its on disney. Which is why I'm starting this petition to move it to freeform. If you agree, sign today!
Free the Disney Dolphins
• In the wild, dolphins can travel from 40 to 80 miles a day, using echolocation and sonar which they rely upon as acoustic creatures. • In captivity, they are confined to barren concrete tanks where they are forced to perform circus tricks for the paying public. They are unable to use echolocation- as the sound waves ricocheting off of the tanks walls create stressful confusion for these animals- in some cases causing them to go literally insane. • In the wild, they hunt live fish, and have a natural diet. • In captivity, they are hand-fed dead fish and are routinely given various medications to prevent serious ailments- such as stomach ulcers -which are a result of the stress in captivity. Four male dolphins are currently being held at Disney World’s Epcot Park. They live in a dark and murky pool surrounded by observation windows lined with people, screaming children, loud music, amplified voices and other stressful sounds. They are literally treated as a ‘side-show’, and there is little to no information released publicly about them. Disney claims that these dolphins are involved in ‘research programs’ at their park, but by simply visiting Epcot, it quickly becomes clear that there seems to be no educational or conservation outcome from these ‘programs’. These dolphins do NOT belong at a noisy, crowed theme park- living in an artificial indoor facility with little to no exposure to natural sunlight- they belong in their natural habitat- THE OCEAN. Tell Disney to do the right thing- PLEASE RELEASE THESE DOLPHINS TO SEAPENS FOR REHABILITATION. If Disney truly wishes to contribute to environmental research and help educate the public about these animals, they will make the humane choice and release these animals to sea-pens- allowing them to live in their natural habitat- the ocean -and receive rehabilitation. We’re flooding Disney with letters, pressuring them to release their dolphins- join us! By signing the petition, you are helping these dolphins get closer and closer to real freedom! Marvel, we want a 'The Winter Soldier' movie!
We’ve all seen the Marvel movies. And we all know that ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ is one of the best Marvel movies ever. And what makes it so good? Not only the action, the story, lack of jokes, and a long etc. What makes it great is one of the best chars in the MCU: Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier. Played by the outstanding actor Sebastian Stan, he brings to life one of the most complex characters and does it in a perfect way. I think there’s a lot that we still haven’t seen of Bucky Barnes, and we want to see a lot more. What about the whole process after he fell off the train, the transformation from Bucky Barnes to The Winter Soldier, his old missions, what about new missions? Sure we see some of that in Civil War, but I’m pretty sure that in 70 years as Hydra’s puppet he had a lot of stories and we would like to see them all. Sebastian Stan mentioned the possibility of a Winter Soldier movie, but we the fans have to show Marvel that we want it. AND it would be brilliant if we can have the Russo brothers as Directors! So here’s your opportunity, sign this petition and let’s see if we manage to show Marvel and Disney what we really want. Invite everybody to sign this petition. United We Stand!
Give Daniel Howell (danisnotonfire) the role of Christopher Robin in the new Winnie The Pooh movie.
Dan Howell is the only person I can think of that would do justice to Christopher Robin, he is one of the most influential YouTube stars out there; he has changed the face of YouTube. Actually Daniel James Howell has changed so many lives, since YouTube has become a large part of many peoples lives so has Dan Howell. By showing his odd, strange mind he has indirectly helped so many people feel understood. Dan Howell is best known for his YouTube channel danisnotonfire which at this moment in time (12:06pm, Monday 6th April 2015, GMT) has 4,593,835 subscribers, he is also known for presenting Dan and Phil on BBC Radio 1 with his friend, fellow YouTuber, and flat mate Phil Lester (AmazingPhil) from January 2013 to August 2014, and since September 2014 has been one of the presenters on BBC Radio 1's The Internet Takeover slot. Danisnotonfire is also known for writing The Amazing Book is Not on Fire with AmazingPhil which is expected to be released on Wednesday 8th October 2015, and for The Amazing Tour is Not on Fire - (Dan and Phil will be touring the UK during 2015). Let me ask you something, have you ever watched or seen Daniel Howell? If your answer is no then you won't understand my reasonings behind this petition, if your answer is yes then you will fully comprehend my reasonings. All you need to do is look at a photograph of Mr Howell and instantly you see his resemblance to Christopher Robin, why wouldn't you want your childhood dreams to be portrayed by such a talented man? I really hope that everyone who sees this gives it a sign, thank you.
Save Marvel: Avengers Alliance - Disney Interactive
We have been playing and many of us paying (buying gold) this game since its creation. We have invested a lot of time and energy in this game and simply put we do not want it shut down. Further many of us WILL NOT play any replacement game you try to throw at us. We enjoy this game and wish to keep playing it. It seems illogical for you to shut down a game that earns so much money and that is simply one of the most played apps on facebook. Additionally, you can also explore the option of selling or licensing the development of "Marvel: Avengers Alliance" to a third-party developer like RockYou (who has a history with Disney Interactive, as they have purchased three games from them in the past). We are hoping that you will do everything that you can in your power to make this happen. We are one dedicated fanbase, and there is obviously an untapped potential and huge opportunity for growth just waiting to be utilized in this game.
