Stephen Wayne Yeager is an American former professional baseball catcher and coach, renowned for his 15-season Major League Baseball career. Yeager played for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1972 to 1985 and spent his final year, 1986, with the Seattle Mariners. Notably, he was co-MVP of the 1981 World Series. After retiring as a player, Yeager served as the catching coach for the Dodgers from 2012 to 2018. In addition to his sports career, Yeager holds a High School Diploma from Bedford High School, a Bachelor's degree in History and Spanish from the University of Michigan, and a JD from Cornell Law School. He has also contributed to public service, including roles as an Assemblymember in the Nevada State Assembly and as a Chief Deputy Public Defender in Clark County.
