Former Macon County State's Attorney

Scott Rueter holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Computer Science from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor (JD) from DePaul University. His career in law and education is marked by a variety of roles. He has served as the State’s Attorney for Macon County, as well as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Ogle and Dewitt Counties. Additionally, Scott has worked in private practice, further honing his legal expertise. Beyond his legal career, he has shared his knowledge as a teacher at both Richland Community College and Millikin University. His diverse background in law and education highlights his commitment to public service and academia.
