Sam Graves is an American politician and aviator currently serving as the U.S. Congressman for Missouri's 6th congressional district, a position he has held since 2001. As the dean of Missouri's congressional delegation, Graves represents a district that spans the northern third of Missouri, including parts of the Kansas City metropolitan area. A member of the Republican Party, Graves has an extensive political career, having served as a member of the Missouri House of Representatives from 1992 to 1994 and the Missouri State Senate from 1994 to 2000. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is also a farmer. Graves has been actively involved in supporting small businesses throughout his tenure in Congress.
