Ronny Lynn Jackson is a United States Representative for Texas's 13th congressional district, a position he has held since 2021. Born in Texas, Jackson is a distinguished American physician, politician, and retired United States Navy officer. His district includes Amarillo and stretches across the Panhandle and much of northeast Texas, reaching as far as Denton. A member of the Republican Party, Jackson earned his Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and his MD from the University of Texas. His career in public service includes notable roles such as Physician to the President from 2013 to 2018 and Chief Medical Advisor to the President in 2019. He achieved the rank of Rear Admiral in the US Navy before transitioning to politics.
