Paula S. Hicks-Hudson is an accomplished American politician and lawyer currently serving as a member of the Ohio Senate from the 11th district since 2022. She is a dedicated member of the Democratic Party. Hicks-Hudson previously served as the Mayor of Toledo, Ohio, from 2015 to 2018, and as an Ohio State Representative from 2019 to 2022. Her academic credentials are impressive, holding a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa, a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Journalism from Spelman College, and a Master's in Communications Development from Cleveland State University. Her professional experience includes roles as a criminal justice professor at the University of Toledo's College of Law, an attorney in private practice, a Reginald Heber Smith Fellow at Toledo Legal Aid Society, and a teacher at the Upward Bound Program at Central State University. She also served on the Toledo City Council representing the 4th district.
