Michael Bruce Quigley is an American politician and lawyer serving as the U.S. Representative for Illinois's 5th congressional district since a special election on April 7, 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, Quigley's district encompasses most of Chicago's North Side and several western suburbs. Prior to his congressional service, he was a Cook County Board Commissioner, representing the northside neighborhoods of Lakeview, Uptown, and Rogers Park. Quigley has also been an adjunct professor at Loyola University Chicago, teaching environmental policy and Chicago politics. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Roosevelt University, a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University. Quigley has continuously served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2009.
